HISTORY
History
Since its founding in Hong Kong in 2010, the Pacific Highway Group has built a business connecting Asia, the UK and Japan. Since the establishment of Pacific Highway Japan in 2018, we have focused on cloud-native CAE (simulation) — working with OnScale and Ansys, and today serving as the authorized distributor in Japan for Quanscient of Finland.

- — Pacific Highway Limited established in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, as an IT and media consulting firm.

2012
- — Pacific Highway UK Limited established in Coventry, England, as an IT and media consulting firm connecting Asia and the UK.
- — April — Coordinated meetings between a CASBAA delegation and major media and broadcasting companies across Tokyo.

2018
- — Pacific Highway Japan G.K. established in Tokyo.
- — Signed a Japan business agreement with OnScale Inc. (US), the world's first cloud-based CAE software vendor.

2019
- — Established OnScale Japan G.K. as a subsidiary of OnScale Inc., substantially reorganizing the domestic sales network.
- — Won an analysis contract from a leading Japanese automotive sensor manufacturer, together with OnScale (US).

2020
- — October — Received the Innovation Award at ResorTech 2020, the IT exhibition held in Okinawa Prefecture.

2021
- — March — Pacific Highway Okinawa G.K. founded in Naha City.
- — August — Selected as an Okinawa Prefecture IT proof-of-concept operator for FY2021 (METI).

2022
- — January — Signed a formal business partner agreement with ALPS SYSTEM INTEGRATION Co., Ltd. (the IT solutions company of Alps Alpine).
- — November — Signed a business agreement with ANSYS Inc. (US) for business development in Japan.

2023
- — February — Visited IT development companies in Taiwan to advance their expansion into the Japanese market.
- — May — Began collaboration with ET&T Technology Co., Ltd., an IT components manufacturer in Taipei, Taiwan.

2024
- — March — Delivered an analysis project for a leading Japanese automotive manufacturer in collaboration with Kogsys (UK).
- — July — Business partnership with Ansys concluded.
- — October — Signed a business agreement for domestic business development with Quanscient (Finland), a vendor of cloud CAE and quantum computing software.

2025
- — January — Began sales of Allsolve, the world's first product to enable multiphysics simulation in the cloud.
- — April — Delivered a keynote at the "Quantum Ecosystem Summit" hosted by the Embassy of Finland in Tokyo, introducing Quanscient's quantum computing platform initiatives for the first time.
The Foundation of the CAE Technology We Work With
The CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) technology we work with is not a passing trend — it rests on nearly forty years of accumulated research and development.
The lineage of ultrasound and piezoelectric analysis — from PZFlex to OnScale
- The roots of this CAE technology go back to the 1980s.
- In the 2000s it was consolidated into PZFlex, an ultrasound and piezoelectric analysis package, which also went on sale in Japan.
- In 2018, building on that technology base, OnScale — the world's first cloud-native CAE tool — was born and brought to the Japanese market.
- Our CEO, Hide Sato, became closely involved with OnScale that same year, and in January 2019 was appointed Executive Manager of OnScale Japan G.K., the Japanese subsidiary of OnScale, Inc., leading the business in Japan from launch through to overall management.
Experience within the Ansys group
- In April 2022, OnScale, Inc. was acquired by Ansys, Inc., a global leader in simulation products, and OnScale products came to be offered as part of the Ansys group.
- Our CEO also transferred to Ansys, remaining until July 2024 as head of the OnScale business — experiencing the industry's consolidation first-hand.
Delivery to a leading Japanese automotive company
- In March 2024, we delivered an analysis project commissioned by a leading Japanese automotive company, in collaboration with Kogsys (UK), now part of the Quanscient group.
On to Quanscient Allsolve — multiphysics meets quantum technology
- In October 2024, we signed a business partnership with Quanscient of Finland covering the Japanese market.
- Allsolve, the world's first cloud-native multiphysics CAE tool developed by Quanscient, inherits the ultrasound and piezoelectric analysis strengths of OnScale and PZFlex while extending its coverage into MEMS and, further, into next-generation simulation incorporating quantum computing techniques — with deployment advancing across aerospace, marine and automotive sectors.
